Thomas Khemananda

Thomas did his first Meditationretreat 1984 in  southern Thailand. After that he was living and/or working in Monastaries, Hermitages or Meditationcenters  in Thailand and Sri Lanka, In his13 years as a Bhikkhu he focussed in his practice and study on early Buddhism as found in the suttas. After that he conducted at Waldhaus am Laacher See in Germany for 12 years a sutta study group . Still he organize workshops there in summer. Now he lives partly in Nilambe.

 
Course introduction

In this retreat we will look into the principle of conditionality and how to aply it in our formal meditation and our daily life. This course welcomes serious beginners as well as experienced meditators.

THIS RETREAT CONSIST OF TWO PARTS:

PART 1  THE BASICS  (5 NIGHTS)
PART 2  SEEING REALITY (5 NIGHTS)

PART 1 CAN BE BOOKED SEPARATE FOR BEGINNERS
PART 2 ONLY TOGETHER WITH PART 1 FOR THOSE WITH DEEPER INTEREST AND COMMITMENT WHO HAVE DONE SIMILAR RETREATS BEFORE.

THE PRIORITY  IS FOR MEDITATORS WHO COME FOR THE WHOLE 10 DAYS. WE WILL PRACTICE SATIPATTANA ( FOUR FOUNDATION OF MINDFULNESS) ON THE BASIS OF ANAPANASATI ( MINDFULNESS OF BREATHING )
